Description

The NV Base 2-bike hitch rack is designed to be a basic version of the NV 2.0, but obviously, there’s nothing basic about it. For starters, it’s available in both 1.25-inch and 2-inch hitch receiver sizes, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of vehicles. It accommodates a wide variety of bike wheelbases and tire widths, too.

It’s e-bike compatible, holding e-bikes that weigh up to 60 pounds per bike. Don’t worry about lifting that bad boy; we’ve got you and your bike with Kuat’s e-bike ramp that attaches to the bike rack tray.

Like the NV 2.0, the Base 2.0 2-bike rack has adjustable front tire cradles that help minimize seat post and handlebar interference, and a handy pivot lever that tilts an extra 45 degrees for additional clearance inside your vehicle’s back hatch or trunk. Kuat’s thoughtfully designed hand-tight hitch cam system keeps the rack rocking, be it wobble-free, on all your biking adventures.

The provided hitch lock adds a level of security at the hitch, while the integrated cable lock helps keep your bike secure. When you’re ready to roll again, the integrated cable locks retract right back into the rack.

• Adjustable Front Tire Cradle System: Bikes not wanting to share space nicely? Easily dial in the fit with adjustable tire scoops. With three positions to choose from, handlebar and seat post clearance are never an issue.
• Pedal Pivot: Fold your NV Base 2.0 up or down with the convenient patented foot pedal.
• Integrated Cable Locks: Integrated cable locks—long enough to reach most frames—can be looped through the rear triangle to help keep the bike secure. When not in use, they stow neatly back into the rack with a magnetic hold. One cable lock per bike.
• Trail Doc: Part of the reason we call it the NV Base 2.0 is because it doesn’t come equipped with the Trail Doc . If you want to add the Trail Doc later, you can. The matte black Trail Doc can be purchased as an accessory and added at any time. And, just because it’s the base version of Kuat’s NV 2.0 doesn’t mean it’s basic. Trust us.
